Yamaha PSR-E433 | Portable Keyboard

Updated on September 5, 2012

What Is the Yamaha PSR-E433 Keyborad?

The Yamaha PSR-E433 keyboard is one of Yamaha's latest portable keyboards released earlier this year. It is an improvement over the Yamaha PSR-E423 model.

Compared to the Yamaha PSR-E423, this keyboard also has 61 keys and it also comes with the Yamaha Education Suite (Y.E.S).

The Yamaha PSR-E433 comes with an even wider range of instrument sounds onboard, up to 731 to be exact. Like the Yamaha PSR-E423, it also comes with an arpeggiator and synthesizer features.

One of those features that sets this model apart from the E423 is also the DJ Pattern mode, which allows you to create DJ styled music easily. So, if you have some experience with the keyboard, having this feature gives you an extra edge as if you are a much better player when showing to an audience. There are plenty of DJ effects you can put into your music with this feature to get your listeners to dance just like they are in a night club ;)

The other thing that sets this apart is the wider world content and 186 music styles that you can use on this keyboard.

Who Can Play On the Yamaha PSR-E433 Keyboard?

The features and versatility that comes with this Yamaha keyboard means that it is suitable for any type of player, whether you are a beginner or a veteran.

If you are a beginner who has never touched a keyboard, you'll be glad that two features Yamaha Portable Grand and Yamaha Education Suite ensures that you are on the right track while learning how to play.

If you are already a seasoned player, you can easily play around with the hundreds of different musical styles, tones, voices and the DJ features to complement your skills.

So, if you are a parent looking for a more than average keyboard for your children but don't want to blow your budget the Yamaha PSR-E433 keyboard is a good choice.

The Good and Bad about the Yamaha PSR-E433 keyboard?

No keyboard is perfect especially at this price range...

One noticeable shortcoming about this keyboard is the sound quality. This keyboard may have been preloaded with hundreds of music styles, voices etc but it still will not be able to beat certain keyboard models from Kurzwell or Roland. Of course, these two brands are more expensive. If I were to be picky about this keyboard, Yamaha should have done away with about half of those preloaded sounds and improve the tone quality.

You will also need to purchase some accessories separately like for example the connection kit to your iPad or computer.

The Good - Overall, the Yamaha PSR-E433 portable keyboard is a pretty good buy for the price you pay considering the hundreds of features that comes with it. This Yamaha keyboard will set you back only $250.00 if you get it online!
